Hi Uloma, were you able to resolve your listing dilema? I will be more than happy to help you, if needed.
Hi Uloma:
I am not sure of what site you are seeing this "misinformation". However in line with the other answers the county public records are probably not correct. You have the right to contact them and inform them of the upgrades to your home. Please note that as this information is noted it increase the property value and subsequently increases the taxes as well. Best wishes..
Hi Uloma:
I have to agree with all of the other answers. If we as realtors are not listing your home directly then the only information that can be used is from the public records or previous listings. If you want the public records updated you can contact the county directly. However note that as you appraise the county that you have "improvements" in the property it can cause your taxes to increase on the home because these are value added amenities. If I might ask, where do you see the information you are referring to?
Depending on where you see your listing on-line (ie. 3rd party Real Estate search site) information may or maynot be accurate. Definitely, work with a licensed Real Estate agent to accurately depict your home on the area's Official Multiple Listing Service (MLS). Maryland uses MRIS.
Probably the tax records are incorrect.
Folks:
I did not list home. The MLS database does not show this home as being on the market currently. The last entry is fpr a transaction back in 2004 by an agent fo Long & Foster. The listing show the 3.5 bathrooms.
The state tax records for the property claim 2.5 baths and the previous listings from 2004 claim 3.5 baths. Depending on the automated information population, it may have only pulled information from the full bath section of the tax records. One bathroom on the lower level may have been added after the tax record was created, if it was done without permits the tax record may have never been corrected or there was an oversight and the permitted bathroom was never updated on the sate tax records.
